Gardaí seize €47,000 in Killarney checkpoint
Gardaí in Killarney have seized €47,000 in cash, suspected cannabis, and ecstasy tablets during a routine Mandatory Intoxicating Testing (MIT) checkpoint in the early hours of November 6.
The seizure was made during a vehicle inspection at approximately 1:30 am. Gardaí discovered a significant amount of €50 notes hidden within the vehicle.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway. The seized cash and drugs will be sent to the Property and Evidence Management System (PEMS) for further analysis.
