Community College student shines at All-Ireland Fleadh

Michael Healy, a sixth-year music student at Killarney Community College, has once again secured top honours at the All-Ireland Fleadh.
The talented musician clinched gold in the Accordion competition and bronze in the Melodeon Under 18 category.
This marks Michael's sixth All-Ireland medal, solidifying his position as one of the country's most promising young traditional musicians. As he transitions to senior competitions, his future in the world of traditional Irish music looks incredibly bright.
In addition to his All-Ireland success, Michael has also achieved significant academic milestones.
Over the summer, he successfully completed his diploma exams in both box and whistle, demonstrating his exceptional musical abilities.
Michael follows in the footsteps of many talented musicians who have enriched our school with their beautiful melodies," said Killarney Community College Principal Stella Loughnane. "He is a role model for our younger students. We are lucky to have him for another while!"
