Killarney Valley Classic and Vintage Club to host a day of nostalgia and heritage

The Irish Vintage Society’s 26th All-Ireland National Rally is coming to Killarney on August 25, and it promises to be a day filled with nostalgia and a celebration of Ireland's rich heritage.
Hosted by the Killarney Valley Classic and Vintage Club and the Trustees of Muckross House, and in conjunction with the Irish Vintage Society, the event will take place on the grounds of Muckross Traditional Farms.
Visitors will be transported back to the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, with a range of traditional farming activities on display, including threshing, ploughing, cultivating, seeding, haymaking, and stooking turf. There will also be a showcase of vintage cars, tractors, and static machinery from the era.
"We are thrilled to be hosting the All-Ireland Vintage Rally," said club PRO Richard O'Donoghue. "This event is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our local heritage and share our passion for preserving it with the public."
In addition to the rally, the club is organising a car run on the same day.
Starting at the Vintage Club's Shed at Upper Lewis Road at 3:30 pm. The route will take participants to Aghadoe Viewing Area and to a private museum. All vintage cars are welcome to join, and there's no need to pre-register.
The club's vintage shed will also be open to the public from 1:30 pm, offering visitors a chance to view ongoing restoration projects.

Admission to the All-Ireland Vintage Rally is €5 per adult and €10 for families, with all proceeds going to Kerry Mental Health. Gates open at 10:30 am, and the event runs until 4:30 pm.
