Family walk raises €13500 for Comfort for Chemo

Thirty-five members of the extended Roche and Twiss families from Beaufort raised a staggering €13500 for Comfort For Chemo Kerry recently.
Ciara and Timmy Roche organised a fundraising walk for Comfort for Chemo Kerry.
On July 6, a total of 35 members of the Roche and Twiss family walked the 25km route from Torc Waterfall to Kate Kearney’s cottage, taking in the old Kenmare Road, the Black Valley and Gap of Dunloe.
Comfort Chemo Kerry wants to build a stand-alone chemotherapy unit on the grounds of the University Hospital Kerry. It currently operates out of a dwelling house in a nearby residential estate.
“One of our family members is currently using this vital service and on doing some research we decided to help this organisation with the funding for their new facility which they are hoping to build,” said Ciara.
So far over €13500 has been raised and more donations can be made via https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/CiaraRoche1
