Hugh O’Flaherty Memorial Society to mark centenary of ordination.
The centenary anniversary of he ordination Hugh O’Flaherty will be celebrated next March.
Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty was ordained in Rome in 1925.
The Killarney-based Hugh O’Flaherty Memorial Society is organising a trip to Rome and will include visits to key locations connected with O’Flaherty during his time in the Italian city.
“The final details of the tour Itinerary will be confirmed over the coming months. It will include the College Propaganda Fide Chapel in which he was ordained by Cardinal Van Rossum,” said the society’s Gerry O’Grady.
The society has engaged Myriam Tours - a small travel agent specialising in pilgrimages and escorted tours to Rome – to manage the trip.
The tour is scheduled to depart Cork Airport Monday March 3 and returns on Friday March 7. Further details on: 057 93 55050
