Seven boy racer cars seized during Rally of the Lakes
A total of seven vehicles were seized during last year’s Rally of the Lakes.
Local gardai set up a monitoring desk at Killarney Garda station during the event last May.
Gardai specifically targeted the activities of 'boy racers’ and eight arrests for drink or drug driving were made.
The figures were released at last Friday’s Joint Policing Committee meeting in Killarney by Sergeant Dermot O’Connell

Additionally, 35 fixed charge penalty notices were issued for driving without due care and attention, 42 for seeding and 10 for drivers caught using a mobile phone while driving.
