Memorial walk for popular jarvey
One of Killarney’s most-popular rowers and jarveys will be remembered at a special walk organised by the Kerry branch of the Irish Kidney Association on Sunday.
Hugh Murhill passed away in 2020.
He is best remembered as a master oarsman with Muckross Rowing Club but was also very popular in horse circles in the town.
The Kerry branch of the Irish Kidney Association is organising the ‘Hugh Murhill Memorial Walk’ which will start at at 1.00pm at Tigh Mary Donals – formerly the Whitegates Hotel – on Muckross Road.
The Memorial Walk will take place in Killarney on Sunday, January 21 at 2.00pm and participants can choose between a 5k circuit or a 10k route – each taking in Muckross Abbey and Muckross House.
Entry fees are set at €20.
“Refreshment’s and Music afterwards in Tigh Mary Donald’s with a raffle to follow lots of spot prizes to win. Everyone is welcome, bring along your pets,” said PRO Irene Hurley.
