AVOCA has re-opened its famous Moll’s Gap store

The store re-opened on Wednesday this week when staff welcomed back locals and travel enthusiasts.
AVOCA’s Moll’s Gap location is a spectacular and unique spot to stop and enjoy the scenery on a journey around the Ring of Kerry.
Set high on a rocky ridge, the store overlooks mountains and lush countryside, with Ireland’s highest mountain, Carrauntoohill, to one side, and the iconic Gap of Dunloe to the other.
“There is a food market on the ground floor with a wonderful selection of artisanal, Irish ingredients, freshly baked breads and scones, homemade jams and chutneys, sauces, spices and lots, lots more,” said a company spokesperson.
“There is a curated selection of Irish cheeses and fine wines, hand-prepared meals and a mouth-watering range of famous sweet treats and tray bakes. You’ll also find a hand-picked range of fashion, homeware, books and more, as well as their much-loved AVOCA soaps, mugs, scarves and their famous throws, woven in Ireland’s oldest weaving Mill in Avoca, Co. Wicklow.”
