High hopes were anything but dashed as super-group Kodaline performed the hit of that name and many more at the INEC Killarney last Thursday night.
Kodaline released their second album, Coming Up For Air, in February, topping the Irish album charts. Drawing inspiration from producers Jacknife Lee (Snow Patrol, REM), Jim Eliot (Ellie Goulding) and A Perfect World producer Steve Harris, Kodaline saw fully-fledged songs flow out of them much quicker than they ever anticipated.
The album features numerous hits including first single Honest, complete with a stadium-sized chorus of which Coldplay would be proud, the anthemic The One, which for years to come is sure to soundtrack countless first dances, and Ready with its driving percussion sound.
Coming Up For Air is the follow-up to their 2013 debut In A Perfect World which has sold over 350,000 copies worldwide and includes hits such as All I Want, High Hopes and Love Like This.
