Tidy Towns volunteers to carry Yvonne Quill’s legacy
Killarney Tidy Towns Committee have vowed to continue the legacy of their late chairperson Yvonne Quill.
The popular Barleymount woman passed away in March this year,. She was the driving force behind the volunteer efforts of the Killarney Tidy Towns Committee.
The volunteers will meet for the first time on Monday night and start their usual littler picking and painting campaign in and around Killarney.
Meitheal volunteers will meet at 6pm at the Friary – all are welcome to join in.
“This is our first year without our team captain, Yvonne,. It is vital that her legacy of community continues and we would ask everyone to make to make an even greater effort this year in her memory,” said committee member Johnny McGuire.
“Everyone can play their part, pick up litter, paint your front wall, paint your premises. Let us all unite and drive forward.
