Celtic U11s test their skills in Barcelona

By Michelle Crean
Killarney Celtic U11s enjoyed a fun filled trip to Spain last week where they tested their soccer skills.
22 players from the club had two teams in the Barcelona Cup last week and played six games over two days in lovely sunshine.
The games were against teams from all over Europe including Finland, France, Switzerland, England and a few from Ireland including Kerry schoolboys who also had two teams.
"We had 16 parents with us which made the trip really relaxed and enjoyable," Mikey Lyne told the Killarney Advertiser.
"Both kids and parents really enjoyed the experience and learned a great deal from the professional setup there. Kids made memories that will last a lifetime."
He added a big thanks to the sponsors and people who bought tickets for the draw who helped fund the trip and kit the boys out in fabulous gear.
"Also big thanks to the parents who made the trip over, the club and Jane O'Donoghue who organised the entire trip."
