Murder suspect released without charge

The man arrested on Wednesday morning in connection with the murder of Miriam Burns has been released without charge.
Ms Burns was found dead in her Ardshanavooley home on August 15 last year. Her body was found “in unexplained circumstances” and, this week, investigating Gardaí arrested a man in Cork. He was held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Cork city but has since been released without charge. A Garda spokesperson said that “investigations are ongoing". It is believed that the man who was detained this week is not related to the late Ms Burns.
