A man has died in a workplace accident in Killarney.
It happened yesterday afternoon (Monday) on the Irish Water construction site near Muckross when a truck driver was seriously injured during an unloading incident at the site.
He was airlifted to an unnamed hospital where he sadly passed away around 8pm last night.

"It is with deep regret and sadness that Uisce Éireann confirms that a man working on behalf of our contractor who was attending a water infrastructure construction site in Co. Kerry has passed away, following a workplace accident on Monday," the company said in a statement.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, work colleagues and friends of the deceased at this very difficult time. Uisce Éireann are liaising with the Health and Safety Authority and relevant authorities in relation to this incident. We can’t make any further comment at this time."
