Loreto laptops an early Christmas present for pupils

By Michelle Crean
A local school received an early Christmas delivery this week - as they excitedly got 30 brand new laptops!
Staff and pupils of Loreto National School were busy logging on and setting up their new Dynabook laptops and a charging trolley which were bought through ICT grants for the school.
The additional technology will enhance the fantastic facilities already present in the school, Principal Brian O'Sullivan explained to the Killarney Advertiser.
"This class set can be moved from classroom to classroom and boost the pupils’ technological and research skills. We are already home to 20 iPads but this purchase will add another element to the pupil’s experience of technology in the school. They will also be a huge benefit to our Sixth Class pupils as they transition to secondary school."
