Art is at the heart of popular fundraiser
By Michelle Crean
One of the town's best loved fundraisers is back and after a pandemic break is the perfect place to catch up with friends.
Killarney Rotary Club Wine & Art Evening will return this year on Wednesday, November 30 at 7.15pm at the Great Southern Killarney.
The club were delighted to welcome this year’s beneficiaries to launch the event on Wednesday of this week at the hotel.
Tickets cost €20 and are available to buy from all of the beneficiaries including Coolick NS, Gaelscoil Faithleann NS, Knockanes NS, Holy Cross Mercy NS, St Francis Special School, Kerry Stars, Killarney Athletic AFC and Killarney Cougars Basketball Club. The Pilgrimage Trust will benefit from the raffle on the night.
The current President of Rotary, Rayla Tadjimatova, addressed the invited guests and said how excited she is that the club's main fundraiser is back.
She thanked Daly’s SuperValu and Killarney Brewing Company for their continued support with this event as well as the artists and crafters who have registered to take part on the night.
"Many of them are delighted to have the opportunity to network and exhibit after a long break," she said.
"Some have been involved since the beginning and for more artists this is their first time attending. There will also be a few crafters there on the night. A portion of all art sales will benefit the charities and community groups so please come along and get some of your Christmas shopping done at the event."
