Best-selling author Cathy Kelly presents the final episode of the season which explores two of Kerry's walking routes which are among the most scenic in Ireland.

Viewers are taken along trails with Cathy to explore heart-stopping Wild Atlantic views of the Ventry, Slea Head and Blasket Islands to the soaring majesty of the mountains on the lakes in Killarney National Park, Muckross Waterfall and Ross Castle.

Along these routes, Cathy encounters locals who give a deeper insight into the trails that she traverses including local historian and manager of the Blasket Centre Lorcán Ó Cinnéide, Dingle Way Walks Officer Liadain Slattery, multi-talented Kerry sports star Louise Galvin and Killarney local Donal O’Donoghue from the Gap of Dunloe Traditional Tour Boats.

“Tracks & Trails has a long affinity with filming their show in County Kerry and it is with great pleasure that we, as a crew and a family, were able to return to County Kerry to shoot this very special episode to close Season 10," says the show's producer Clíona Sherwin.

"We would like to thank Kerry County Council, Kerry Tourism Industry Federation and all those involved who helped make this one of our most beautiful shows. The only problem we had was choosing which trails to feature as the choice is endless in Kerry. With our crew and our presenter Cathy Kelly, we hope we have presented these two parts of Kerry in a way that will make the locals proud and will make viewers want to drop everything and take to these trails to explore.”

Tune into RTÉ One on Thursday July 21 at 7pm.

Lawless Jewellery named finalist in Irish Made Awards

Independent College Street jewellery brand Lawless has been named a finalist in the Jewellery category of the 2026 Irish Made Awards, run by Irish Country Magazine.

Founded by designer-maker Lyndsay Lawless, the one-woman business creates celestial jewellery inspired by mythology, symbolism, and the night sky.

Each piece is handcrafted using stainless steel and natural gemstones in her studio located within the Kerry International Dark Sky Reserve.

The collections are available online and stocked locally at LI•LY on College Street, which serves as the brand’s retail home in Killarney.

The nomination comes as both Lawless and the Irish Made Awards celebrate their 10th anniversaries this year. After relocating from London to Kerry in 2015 following a career with the NHS, Lawless established the business the following year.

“I have spent ten years building the brand in Kerry, designing and making beneath the protected night skies of the reserve, then bringing that work into Killarney through LI•LY,” said Lawless. “To have it recognised on a national stage means a huge amount. Every order, shop visit, recommendation, and kind word from customers has helped get Lawless here. Now that the decision includes a public vote, I would love Kerry to get behind its own.”

Public voting is open online at irishcountrymagazine.ie/vote until September 8. Winners will be announced during an awards ceremony at The Johnstown Estate in County Meath on September 30.
