Christmas jumper day at St Brigid’s
The festive spirit was strong in one local school as they donned their Christmas jumpers for charity.
The Student Council at St Brigid's Killarney organised a Christmas Jumper Day in the school to raise funds for the Kerry Hospice and the Palliative Care Unit in University Hospital Kerry.
St Brigid's is working with six other Killarney schools in this very worthy fundraiser and all schools will pool their donations together.
“Kerry Hospice provides an invaluable service to the people of Kerry and their families. It costs €10,000 a week to run. We are delighted in St. Brigid's to join forces with other schools in our community, get into the festive spirit and raise money for this fantastic local cause,” said a school spokesperson.
