A fundraising event dubbed the 'Concert of Freedom' to mark the first such event since the pandemic began, helped raise much needed funds for three churches in one parish.
The concert, which took place on Monday night, was organised by Fr Kevin McNamara, who moved to Glenflesk Parish in August. He is spearheading the Glenflesk Parish Church Maintenance.
Country Music singer Sandy Kelly was the main act and she was supported by Gerry Guthrie and Lorraine McDonald.
The money raised will go to St Agatha’s - Glenflesk, Our Lady Of The Wayside – Clonkeen, and Sacred Heart Church – Barraduff. The initial main focus will be on the Sacred Heart Church which urgently needs roof and electrical repairs.
