Rock Road diversions end tonight (Friday)

The final night of diversions in place on Rock Road due to footpath improvement works will end tonight (Friday).
The road was temporary closed from 7pm to 3am each night this week and will be closed again tonight (Friday).
The works will be carried out from in front of the public library and run towards the entrance to the High Street car park and involve the construction of a new footpath and associated drainage works which are being carried out in advance of the resurfacing of Rock Road.
These works form part of the Killarney Municipal District Schedule of Works Programme for 2021 and is funded via a Restoration Improvement Grant to the value of €150,813 and an Active Travel Grant of €210,000.
ML Lynch Civil Engineering Ltd are carrying out the works on behalf of Kerry County Council.
Temporary and VMS signs are in place along the approach road advising the public of these works.
