Creative kids get arty

By Michelle Crean
Arts and crafts were at the centre of one summer camp last week as local kids got a chance to get creative.
The newly opened Art House Killarney on New Road, run by Tracy Sexton, a qualified and experienced art teacher and artist, was the location for the colourful fun.
"It has been a busy summer at the Art House with back-to-back kid's camps," Tracy told the Killarney Advertiser.
"At art camp kids can fully experience what it is like to be an artist for a week. We devise new and exciting art projects for every camp, ensuring your kids can return and develop further each time they choose to visit. Camps are above all fun, instructive and encouraging. Here students can learn to practice the core skills, techniques and concepts of creating art with regular snack breaks, games and other art-based activities."
The Art House also works closely with community groups, schools, art festivals and many other initiatives.
Tracy loves to teach and believes that everyone has artistic and creative abilities which can be realised and developed.
"We cater for everyone from complete beginners, intermediate to advanced students."
