Cyclists raise funds for Down Syndrome Kerry
The sum of €2,000 was handed over to charity last Tuesday thanks to kind-hearted members of a cycling club.
25 members of Tralee Manor West Cycling Club took on the Ring of Kerry in aid of Down Syndrome Kerry (DSK) in July. They had a beautiful day for the trip and raised the funds which was presented to Yann O'Carroll and Sophie Mai Pierce of DSK last week. The cheque was presented by Tom Kenny of Tralee Manor West Cycling Club.
"We are so grateful to all these cyclists for taking on the Ring of Kerry on such a hot day and raising these vital funds for us," Catherine Doyle, DSK secretary, said.
"It has been an extremely difficult year for charities and fundraising events such as these allow us to keep our branch going. Thank you from all at Down Syndrome Kerry."
