200 additional parking spaces for Killarney

200 free additional parking spaces are to be provided for Killarney town during July and August to help alleviate parking congestion.
Over the next four weeks, from July 9 to August 9, Kerry County Council will make the parking spaces available at the Church of the Resurrection on Park Road.
The dates, during which parking is being provided, correspond with Birds Funfair who are operating in the Fairhill car park.
The annual funfair visit comes at a cost of around 120 parking spaces in the town and both Killarney Municipal District and the Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce said last week that they were working together to find alternative parking in the town centre.
Cathaoirleach of the Killarney Municipal District, Cllr Marie Moloney said the local authority was grateful to Killarney Parish for facilitating the parking and encouraged those visiting the town to avail of the free parking spaces.
Those attending Mass at the Church of the Resurrection will be accommodated.
