Kerry County Council is examining several outdoor dining options for Kenmare Place but outdoor pods are not one of them.
Last week the Killarney Advertiser revealed that Kenmare Place is going to be the first area of Killarney to benefit from a new outdoor dining scheme. Several different style outdoor dining options are being discussed but the closed in pods are not one of the methods under consideration.
”There are discussions ongoing about the Outdoor Dining Scheme. There are no such pods or structures of that kind proposed or being considered for Killarney,” a Council spokesperson told the Killarney Advertiser.
“Elected members were briefed on Thursday about the scheme and discussions about how to maximise the benefits of the scheme in Killarney are ongoing. More details of what the plans will entail will be published in due course.”
The Killarney Advertiser is happy to clarify the matter.
