Two Gardai were injured following a high-speed chase that ended at Listry Bridge in the early hours of last Saturday morning.
The chase began near Cahersiveen when two teenagers failed to stop at a routine check point near the south Kerry town.
The patrol unit gave chase and the Killarney Advertiser understands that a road block, using a unmarked garda car, was placed at Listry Bridge.
The unmarked car was rammed in the incident resulting in undisclosed injuries to two Gardai.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed to the Killarney Advertiser that one of the teenagers was arrested at the scene.
“He was arrested under the road traffic offences and was later released without charge,” the source told the Killarney Advertiser.
