New disabled parking bay at East Avenue Road
W
Work has commenced on a new disabled parking bay on the East Avenue Road.
The existing one was removed following the refurbishment and extension of the ANAM Arts and Cultural Centre at the same location.
Cllr Brendan Cronin has repeatedly called for the blue bay to be reinstated.
He was concerned the people attending the nearby Killarney GP medical centre would not be able to do so as there no longer was a suitable parking space available.
At a previous meeting of Killarney Municipal District before Christmas, he asked for the bay to be reinserted.
It was confirmed at Wednesday’s meeting that work had started on a new bay between the cultural centre and the entrance to Great Southern Killarney.
