A delegation from the Killarney Town Twinning Association has just returned from Germany where they engaged with residents of the Pleinfeld region in Bavaria.
Chairperson Sean Counihan, and Secretary Sheila Dickson, visited the Gunthosuen Technical School.
“The delegation discussed the continued Erasmus programme between schools in the catering and office administration areas and we are glad of the opportunity to promote Killarney in this tourist region of Germany,” said Mr Counihan.
They also attended a carnival in Ramsburg, another village in the Pleinfeld region.
An Erasmus group from the town will arrive in Killarney on March 22 and will stay for two weeks.
