Free adults and children’s workshops
Tomorrow (Saturday) from 12-4pm sees the first of three adults and children’s creative workshops organised as part of the St Patricks Day festival. The workshops will give people the opportunity to work with willow and paper in making bees and butterflies which will then be used to decorate Main Street on St Patrick’s Day.
The theme of this year’s parade is ‘Earth’.
The workshops are free and it is a great way for children to explore their creative side, to participate in the St Patricks Day festival and to give them an opportunity to showcase their creativity on the streets of the town.
The workshops, which also take place on March 7 and 14, will be facilitated by Sophie Lodge and will take place in ANAM Arts and Cultural Centre on East Avenue Road. The workshops are organised by the St Patricks Day Committee who are supported by Fáilte Ireland, Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce and Kerry County Council.
Children have to be accompanied by an adult. Drop in and stay for as short or long as you want.
