Councillor Michael Cahill has welcomed funding for community groups and organisations under the 2019 Community Enhancement Programme;
Beaufort Community Care Group €750 Purchase sports equipment, Ballydribeen Residents Association Killarney €500 for gardening project targeting older and younger members of community, Ballyspillane CFRC Killarney €500 equipment for age-friendly recreational and social events, Ballyspillane Resident's Association Killarney €5,500 additional outdoor lighting, Barradubh Men's Shed €1,000 Polytunnel project, Fossa Bridge Club €1,000 Bridge Scoring Programme, Killarney Cycling Club €6,500 Trishaw for 'Cycling without Age' project, Killarney Looking Good Committee €4,000 intergenerational project and age-friendly wooden benches with arm rests, Killarney Men's Shed €500 kitchen equipment, Killarney Sports & Leisure Complex €3,000 disability changing bench, Rathmore Social Action €2,000 voice recording and archiving project with Centre users and €6,500 Trishaw for 'Cycling without Age' project, and Sliabh Luachra Cycling Club €1,500.
