Parade captures the magic of St Patrick’s Day

WHAT a fantastic experience this year's St Patrick's Day parade was in Killarney. Well done to all the organisers who pulled out all the stops. The town was a riot of colour, with some eye-catching street décor complementing the wonderful floats and costumes and with people of all ages lining the streets decked out in their green finery.
A real highlight of the second annual St Patrick's Festival Cill Áirne, the parade lived up to its every expectation. The theme of this year's festival was Ireland: Past, Present and Future and all parade entries certainly had fun interpreting it.
All of the team at Killarney Advertiser enjoyed preparing our entry, “Our past creates our future”, travelling back in time as well as giving a sneak preview of the headlines of the future when Killarney is twinned with Mars.
