One local childcare centre has given something back to the community by installing a defibrillator that everyone can access.
Bellview Woods Childcare in Ballydowney recently installed the new device and are now planning a training night for the public this coming Monday.
Locals are invited to attend a training course on CPR at 7.30pm at the facility in Ballydowney. The CPR course will cost €10 per person and all proceeds go to the voluntary group at KCRU.
“We’re opened since 2003 and it’s our way of giving something back,” Rosemary Flavey, Manager at the creche, told the Killarney Advertiser.
“All staff at the centre are fully trained. We just want the public to know that the defibrillator is here.”
