Final Tidy Towns clean up tonight
FINAL CLEAN UP: The Tidy Towns clean up campaign is finishing up this Monday evening.
By Michelle Crean
For months they’ve poured their heart and souls into making Killarney town a cleaner place to live – and tonight (Monday) it comes to an end as the final Tidy Towns clean up takes place.
Volunteers will gather in the Muckross Road area, meeting at 6.30pm at the entrance to the Cahernane Hotel. This will be their 45th outing since January and concludes the campaign for this year.
“We would like to thank all the volunteers, businesses and residents who have made a tremendous effort to help maintain our town to a very high standard, with great coordination and leadership from our Municipal Authority,” Johnny McGuire said.
“As this is our final clean up, it would be great to see businesses and residents in the Muckross Road area joining in this huge voluntary effort – all help is greatly appreciated.”
