Healy-Rae’s second book almost complete

So popular was the first book that TD Michael Healy-Rae has done it again – with his second book due out in time for the Christmas market.
The Kilgarvan native, working with writer Tara King, launched his first book ‘A Time To Talk’, published by Gill Books, last year.
Now, he’s almost ready to bring his second book, ‘A Listening Ear: More Stories from the Heart of Rural Ireland’, to the market.
“I’ve it finished,” Michael told the Killarney Advertiser.
“I’ve been proofreading it all along and over the next few weeks will be putting the final touches to it.
“It will be available on book shelves this autumn, out in time for Christmas.”
Michael added that writer Tara King has been exceptionally patient taking his calls any hour of the day and night.
“Tara is a saint. I could ring her late at night and she’d take the call. Anyone you could ring at 1am, 2am or 3am – and I don’t think she ever said no. It’s a measure of how well we got on with the first book to say that we’d work together again.”
