Next phase of Beaufort pipe replacement on tap

The next phase of the Mid Kerry Rural Water Supply Sanitation - Beaufort Area water pipe replacement scheme is set be completed this year.
Irish Water and Kerry County Council have already completed 22Km of mains replacement at a cost of almost €4 millio
Much of this work was concentrated on the western leg through Kilgobnet and Meanus to Killorglin and Milltown, and in Shannera and Cappagh North.
Work was also carried out to replace almost 8Km of water mains from Glencuttane Cross to Ardmoniel and Annadale bridge, Killorglin on the Breanlee Water Supply Scheme.
Irish Water confirmed this week that further pipe replacement works at Cooleanig Beaufort are scheduled for this year.
“I have been calling for improvements to the Mid Kerry Water Scheme for a long time and I am glad that Government Funding has resulted in significant progress in recent years,” said Cllr. Patrick O'Connor-Scarteen.
