Top RTE broadcaster Marty Whelan has this week chosen a Killarney singer’s latest record as his top music recommendation.
The RTE Lyric FM presenter, who also co-hosts the RTE One Winning Streak show, chose Grace Foley’s record ‘Unleashed’ for his 'Marty Recommends' weekly spot on the show.
Grace released her record ‘Unleashed’ in December and it has received rave reviews, including recent praise from the presenter. The news comes after Grace was interviewed on his show last week.
“I was thrilled when I received an email from RTE asking if I would come into RTÉ Studios in Dublin for an interview on 'Marty in the Morning',” Grace told the Killarney Advertiser this week.
On Wednesday last, Grace met Marty and he was immediately complimentary of her voice and her record.
The presenter described her voice as 'so different' and 'fantastic'. He encouraged people to book the Killarney singer and also said 'the voice just hit us'.
One of her songs was played each morning this week on his show and they have also being posting regularly on social media about the singer.
Grace, who is currently planning an Irish tour and will be performing at Cahersiveen Festival of Music and Art in August and at Kilkenny Yulefest in December, said it was an honour to be featured on his show.
“I am overwhelmed by the positive feedback through the show and cannot wait to see what comes next on my exciting journey.”
If you would like to buy a copy of 'Unleashed' go to www.gracefoley.ie and like her Facebook Page: Grace Foley Singer, to keep an eye on upcoming announcements and performance dates.
