He has become one of Killarney’s biggest entertainers - but now it’s time for pastures new for ‘The Piano Man’ – who is moving on to the bright lights of London.

Jack Patrick Healy, best known for his entertaining music and friendliness in The Liquid Lounge at the Killarney Grand, made the decision to say farewell to the town he loves so well - as he has just been signed with a musical-theatre agent in the West End.

Currently he’s in London but is planning his final farewell show in the Liquid Lounge, Killarney Grand, on Saturday March 2, at 11.30pm.

It was inevitable that Jack Patrick would grow up to entertain the masses as he was born in the Gap of Dunloe to father, Gerard ‘The Singing Jarvey’ Healy and mother Julie.

He began his music career under the training of the Tara Little Stage School Company and studied vocal training with Rebecca Storm of ‘Blood Brothers’ fame and Peter Corry of ‘Les Misérables’.

He went on to work as resident pianist and entertainer in Nick’s Restaurant Killorglin in 2010, then on to The Plaza Hotel Killarney, and finally for the past three years, in The Liquid Lounge.

Last November, he took his award-winning show to Chicago, Germany/Switzerland and Austria prior to the States, and is now moving over lock, stock and barrel to the bright lights of London.

“I’m thrilled to be moving over completely, and brightening my horizons with my fantastic girlfriend Emma-Jane, who is a native of North Kensington,” Jack told the Killarney Advertiser this week.

“I have just been signed with a musical-theatre agent for work on the West End stages and I’m looking forward to working on Kensington High Street and Notting Hill with my piano-bar show.”
