The Annual Dr Crokes Golf classic took place on Mahonys Point, Killarney Golf Club over two days on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd August. There was a fantastic turnout with over 70 teams playing over the two days and a sincere thanks to all those who supported the event. Dr Crokes sincerely thanked all the staff of Killarney Golf Club who had the course in magnificent condition, to Paul Cotter who supplied a beautiful barbeque after 9 holes, to Clifford’s Cash n Carry and Killarney Brewing Company who sponsored the drinks and to the main sponsor Charlie Foleys Bar.

The winners were the Victoria House Hotel team of Johnny Courtney(14) with his three sons Creagh (11) Killian (17) and Sean (20) with a magnificent score of 109 points.

Second were the Dromhall Hotel team of Shane Kelly (18) Donie McSweeney (16) Dermot Roche (13) and John Lynch (8) with 105 points.

Third   was the Killarney Autos team of Seamie O Connor (14) Phillip O Connor (17) Paudie Lynch (13) and Brendan Lynch (13)also on 105 points

Fourth   was the Killarney Veterinary Clinic team of James Jones (10), Ken West (17), Mike Barry (12) and Colin Moriarty (12) on 103 points

Fifth  was the AIB team of Joe Shannon (14),Colm Cooper (15) Mike O Donoghue (18)and Mike Brosnan (4) with 103 points.

Sixth was the Seanie Kelliher led O Sullivan Darcy Engineering team

Seventh was the Niall Huggard led Lake Hotel team.

EBS Killarney team was 8th placed team.
