Business owners urged to row in behind Tidy Towns efforts
L
Local business owners have been urged to get behind Killarney’s efforts to claim gold in this year’s Tidy Towns competition by maintaining and repainting the front of their buildings.
The call comes as we enter the second of three months of judging (June, July and August) and Tidy Towns volunteers say the smallest improvements could be the deciding factor when it comes to totting up scores.
The Flesk Restaurant have earned special praise for repainting the front of their iconic premises in the heart of the town, especially considering the fact that they only recently renovated their classy building. The wonderfully redesigned Laurels Bar at the Market Cross also springs to mind. Killarney is looking fantastic at the moment and we should be grateful to business owners like this who are willing to go the extra mile.
If you haven’t yet spruced up your storefront, the good news is there’s still time!
