Keane corner kick seals title for Celtic
E
Experienced midfielder Gary Keane scored a dramatic late winner direct from a corner kick as Killarney Celtic defeated Dingle in the 2017/18 Kerry Premier A League Final on Friday last.
It was a remarkable way to clinch such a huge tie and it’s certainly a moment that will live long in the memory for Keane, his teammates and all the supporters in attendance. The hard-fought victory sealed the club’s first league title in five years and sets them up for a rare double; they’ll face the winners of Killorglin and Killarney Athletic in the Greyhound Bar KO Cup Final next week.
