Spring exhibition for Carmel T. Madigan
A
Artist Carmel T. Madigan will host an art exhibition at the Brehon Hotel, Killarney over the St Patrick's bank holiday weekend. This spring exhibition will show her new work for the first time and will consist of over 40 of her distinctive artworks, both new and recent.
Carmel portrays her thoughts on nature through vibrant colour, lively movement, and a tapestry of rich and deep textures. The works are playful and upbeat but pay homage to radical events like Hurricane Ophelia, and the winter storms that batter our coastline.
Carmel grew up on the Loophead Peninsula in County Clare, a wind and ocean-exposed headland. She has been a professional artist for 25 years and her works are held in many public and private collections at home and abroad, including the OPW, Bank of Ireland, and the Department of Education. The exhibition at the Brehon Hotel is open to all on Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18 from 11am to 7pm.
