Maria and friends to cycle to Lourdes
A
A group of charitable Killarney people are taking part in a sponsored cycle of 1000 kilometres in aid of the Irish Pilgrimage Trust.
The cycle is the main fundraiser for the trust, which takes young people with disabilities to Lourdes.
Setting off from Dinard in northern France on March 24, the cyclists will finish up in Lourdes on March 30. The cyclists pay their own airfare and accommodation
and they must also raise €2,500 for the charity.
To help with the fundraising there will be a table quiz in the Killarney Oaks
Hotel on Thursday, February 22 at 7.30pm. Tables of four adults are €40 while under 15s can take part for €20.
