Killarney thespians set to tread the boards
T
TALENTED Killarney thespians will tread the boards in November when they present Philip and Rowena.
Penned by Gillian Plowman, this play is a journey of reconciliation and hope, a sensitive, poignant exploration of a wonderful relationship.
Dóchas Drama Group will present the play at the Killarney Avenue Hotel on November 8, 9, 10 and 11 at 8pm.
Philip and Rowena are terminally ill. Philip is looking for a divorce from his wife, Lilian, and Rowena longs for the unity of her family. “Together they find friendship, romance and an amazing capacity for fun!” said Liz Ryan of Dóchas who is directing the play.
“In their hospice they share an imaginary holiday in Florence, wine, dine, visit the opera and go on scooter rides before deciding to marry.”
Tickets are €10 and proceeds will go to Kerry Hospice Foundation.
