Put your best foot forward this Sunday
P
POSTPONED from last Sunday, a fundraising walk will make its way through the Gap of Dunloe this Sunday, October 29, and all are welcome.
It is being organised by two Glenflesk men who are set to exchange Carrantuohill for Mount Kilimanjaro in December.
Pat Sheehan of the Loft Fitness Studio and his friend Niall Dennehy are training on Kerry’s hills and slopes and you can join them as they host Sunday’s 11km trek. It commences at 10am and forms part of the duo’s efforts to generate cash for the Irish Kidney Association.
Refreshments will be served at Lord Brandon’s Cottage and tickets, €25, include boat and bus transfer.
“We are climbing Kilimanjaro on December 27, funded by ourselves, to raise funds for the Irish Kidney Association,” said Pat.
There is limited availability for the Gap of Dunloe walk and tickets must be pre-booked; contact Pat on 087-6856930 or Theresa Looney on 087-2059205.
