In the picture for Culture Night
S
SPIRITS were high across Killarney and Kerry as public venues, communities and arts spaces offered up a great selection of free events late into the night.
Killarney Cultural Centre and Killarney House hosted music, as well as youth choral, song, dance and theatre events, while a full house enjoyed Andy Irvine and Donal Lunny in concert at Muckross Traditional Farms. The visual arts featured also at a showcase of selected Kerry artists at Government Buildings on New Road, Killarney; this exhibition runs until October 17. Meanwhile in Fossa Community Centre song, dance and céilí entertained well into the evening, while
Killarney native Gemma Sugrue hosted a choral event with young singers at Killarney House & Gardens. Culture Night Kerry was funded by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the Creative Ireland programme in partnership with Kerry County Council.
