Top honour for Niall MacMonagle

UCD HAS conferred Niall MacMonagle with an Honorary Doctorate of Literature in recognition of his outstanding work and influence in the Arts and his tireless support of Irish culture.
Niall received the accolade in recognition of his distinguished career and outstanding work as teacher, anthologist, broadcaster and cultural commentator.
Niall, son of Lil Cremin and Sean MacMonagle, was raised in Kerry with his four siblings Philip, John, Riona and David. He is a regular contributor to the Irish media over the years and currently features regularly on RTÉ’s Today with Sean O'Rourke and has a weekly column What Lies Beneath in the Sunday Independent.
