THE Healy-Rae dynasty is to run a second candidate in Kerry.
Councillor Danny Healy-Rae has confirmed that he is to run alongside his brother, Independent TD Michael.
Their father Jackie was elected to the Dáil for Kerry South in 1997.
Michael took over in 2011 and is a strong favourite to retain his seat.
Just minutes before the deadline at noon, the Independent county councillor representing the Killarney Municipal District, submitted his nomination papers in Tralee to contest the February 26 election.
He becomes the 16th candidate to run in the constituency.
