KILLARNEY GOLF CLUB made history at the weekend when it won the ILGU Senior Cup for the first time.
The All-Ireland Club Golf Championship-winning senior ladies team received a rapturous welcome when they arrived back to base at Killarney Golf Club.
The club lined out the same team that beat the Island in the previous day’s semi-final.
Killarney started strongly as internationals Mairead Martin and Valerie Clancy and Munster representative Kelly Brotherton all went two up early on in their matches.
With a birdie on the 17th, Killarney were crowned Senior Cup champions for the first time in the club’s history.
