Shane on a par with the best as he wins Dr Crokes captain’s prize

CONGRATULATIONS to Shane Horgan who took the spoils as winner of Brian Clarke's captain's prize at the Dr Crokes GAA Club Golf Society outing at the Killeen course at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club on Friday.
Also teeing up for applause at the prize-giving, in The Laurels Pub & Restaurant, were Seamie O’Connor in second place and Brian O’Regan, third.
The competition was sponsored by Mike Buckley, Kerry Coaches.
Dr Crokes GAA Club Golf Society Captain's prize winners are as follows: first, Shane Horgan (3) 38 pts, second, Seamie O’Connor (14) 38 pts, third, Brian O’Regan (8) 37 pts, fourth, Keith McMahon (16) 37 pts, fifth, Niall O’Mara (8) 36 pts; Category 1, first Peter McEnery (10) 36 pts, second, John Lynch (10) 36 pts; Category 2, first, Tim Brosnan (21) 34 pts, second, John O’Leary (16) 34 pts; past captain Brendan Keogh (7) 34 pts; front 9, Ger O'Shea (16) 21 pts; Back 9 Joey Sheehan (5) 19 pts; guest prize, Brian McCarthy (19) 35 pts; nearest the pin, John Lynch, seven feet.
