PALS Aisling Doyle and Maire Murphy took time out to enjoy an ice cream to celebrate Aisling generating over a thousand euro for Down Syndrome Ireland.
Aisling, who said Maire was her inspiration, raised an amazing €1103.72 for the charity.
The daughter of Mary T and Derry Doyle, from Ross Road, Aisling organised three ice cream parties as part of the HB Ice-Cream Funday campaign in aid of the charity.
The 16-year-old held events at her own school, St Brigid’s Secondary School, Killarney, as well as at St Brendan’s College, Killarney, and organised fundraisers with the Killarney Girl Guides and Brownies. She was helped by friend Mairead O’Connor.
