Lions’ roar echoes across the fairways
T
THE Killarney Lions Club hosted its very successful charity golf classic in aid of the Kerry Parents & Friends Buy a Bus campaign this year.
Outgoing Lions Club president Con Stack said: “To get an 18-hole golf course for the day is difficult, getting one at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club is another matter entirely. And to make the day even more special, the refreshments (breakfast or lunch, depending on the time slot) were sponsored by the five-star Aghadoe Heights Hotel.”
The prizes were sponsored by Tricel and a marquee was sponsored by O’Keeffe’s, Rathmore. “The Lions Club were delighted to aid this great cause with a hefty donation of €5,000,” added Mr Stack.
