Back to the classroom for Killorglin students who are planning big reunion
P
PAST pupils of Killorglin Community College are organising a school reunion in July to mark the two decades since they did the Leaving Certificate in the school. The reunion is for those students who started in the school in 1988 or finished in 1993.
One of the organisers of the reunion, Helen Courtney Power, said: “The reunion is a great opportunity to meet up with people that you haven't seen in many years and recall the days attending the 'tech', as it was known then. We have sent out invitations to the class of 1988, however, we don't have addresses for everyone that did the Leaving Cert, so we are hoping that word of mouth will work and everyone will come along on the night to share in the fun.”
The reunion is booked for Saturday, July 29, in Nick’s Restaurant, Killorglin, at 8pm. A hot buffet and music will be provided on the night.
Owen O’Sullivan, event organiser, added: "We have managed to unearth some great photos and videos of the class and we would invite the old class to bring any mementos they have to share on the night. A number of former teachers have also been invited to attend the reunion."
Further information on the reunion is available from Owen O’Sullivan on 087-7900985 or Helen Courtney Power on 086-3644113 or the Facebook Page Killorglin Community College School Reunion. If you wish to attend please RSVP before Friday, July 14.
